The Jolly Hog Feast, 10th August 2023
The Jolly Hog is a Bristol based family business run by three brothers (Olly, Max and Josh), all totally passionate about quality, tasty food. To them good food means food full of flavour. Their award winning food (47 awards and counting) is made in the right way, championing animal welfare – they only use higher welfare pigs – whilst considering their impact on the environment by the choices they make.
They are the first meat company in the UK to become a B Corp. It’s always been deeply ingrained in the brothers to do the right thing by their team, consumers, and planet. B Corp status is an amazing way to show that they are doing exactly that. They are genuinely trying to be better as a company, pledging to put purpose before profit.
On the evening of Thursday 10th August Jimmy Garcia will be joined by Jolly Hog founders Olly and Max for a very special evening of delicious food. They will be serving up a specially designed feasting menu to showcase their fantastic range of produce.
Chat tends to flow freely around a large feasting table so let’s make it a meaningful one! Olly and Max will be happy to discuss all things sustainability including responsible farming and how they became B Corp certified. And Jimmy loves to talk about how chefs, restaurants and caterers can make a big difference by promoting a more environmentally conscious approach to food. Olly’s background as a professional Harlequins rugby player might also come up, but hey, don’t let us tell you what to talk about while you’re tucking in!
If you’re not around in the evening don’t worry as The Jolly Hog Loaded Dogs and Fries will be making a special guest appearance on our street food menu!
Oh, and as we’re bringing a bit of the West Country to Southbank, it’s only right that there’s some great cider on offer to wash this feast down with, so we have Hunt’s Cider making a very special appearance with their Bull Whalloper and Wobbler on draft.
